Yummy Memorial Pet Cancer Fund

The Yummy Memorial Pet Cancer Fund was established by Petco Love in partnership with Blue Buffalo and in memory of Yummy, former Petco CEO Ron Coughlin’s beloved white English lab. Yummy was a two-time cancer survivor and enjoyed many years as Petco’s Chief Dog Officer. Yummy brought joy to so many Petco partners. He loved everyone, and everyone loved Yummy. To continue his legacy of love in support of other pets battling cancer, the Yummy Memorial Pet Cancer Fund provides financial support to Petco partners whose pets have been diagnosed with cancer and who might otherwise not be able to afford treatment. Petco partners seeking support for pet cancer treatment may apply to the Yummy Memorial Pet Cancer Fund through the Mosby Foundation.

Am I eligible to apply?

Petco partners who are unable to afford the cost of pet cancer treatment are eligible to apply for assistance, if:

1. you are an active employee (including on leave, short-term disability, and paid time off)
2. you can provide proof of the pet cancer diagnosis and an estimate of related eligible veterinary expenses, including prescribed medications and medical procedures for the treatment of the pet’s cancer (see below for details on what’s not covered)

You will NOT be eligible for reimbursement for treatment that has already been performed.

What expenses are covered?

Grants are awarded by the Mosby Foundation based on the volume of applicants and fund availability—amounts and coverage vary. You will be asked to submit an estimate of treatment with your application to be considered for coverage. You will NOT be eligible for reimbursement for treatment that has already been performed.

The following expenses will not be covered:

• diagnostics, testing, CT scans or x-rays
• general and/or routine veterinary care (examples: vaccinations, vet visits, blood work, testing, dental cleanings)
• medications already purchased
• treatments already performed and paid for
